SOPA/PIPA
I joined the fight today against SOPA and PIPA from the page when I opened Ventanon. I was going to just send an e-mail to my state reps but when I clicked on the link to send it to them, big surprise, the page was down. Is that due to a massive flood of other e-mails against this or are they doing it as a way to prevent people from sending a message with their disapproval of those bills…? So instead I called up my senators office and told them I was against it.
I don’t have a huge belief that the government really listens to the people of this country anymore, they just tell us what we want to hear to get us into bed and then roll us over and screw us without so much as lube or a kiss. But I have to hope that maybe, just fucking maybe, they’ll listen.

Yes, the system is down because of flood of emails that are going out. But if you go to en.wikipedia.org or reddit.com they have their own methods that are better setup for mass floods of requests.
Believe it or not, this bill would have implications on ventanon.com as well. We’ve had people post lyrics to songs that go along with their vent/current mood/or just thoughts
This could get ventanon.com classified as a rogue website and added to the blacklist.
One single problem on this site if SOPA gets passed and this site would go away forever. I don’t have the money to fight anything in the legal system.
So do your part. Contact your representative/senator/mom (seriously… tell your mom).
