Giving up
I’m waving a white flag now. I’ve spent nearly three weeks trying to figure out how I felt about you, and finally falling head over heels. I spent more time thinking about you than anything else, and used up more journal pages about you than any other subject. Over these past weeks you have made me cry, smile, and blush without you even being there. I thought perhaps you liked me, but now I only realize I was a fool. You have her now, and even though I want to, I really can’t hate her. You say your life is amazing now, even though what makes your life better has made mine worse. But I want you to know that I am happy for you. Truly. I realize that in this messed up world, not everyone can be happy in the end. Maybe we aren’t meant for each other, or maybe just not now. But if you’re happy now, nothing else matters.
