Reality Check
I have gone to the Christmas eve service at my church for years even though I never attended the rest of the year as I should. This year I ask the Lord to excuse me from the service. As it turns out, a woman I know played the role of the virgin Mary while professing to be a “born again virgin” to the entire church in a previous ceremony. I know most would consider the role of Mary to be of a symbolic nature, but Jesus was born of Mary through immaculate conception. Why then is it OK for her to play a virgin when she has already admitted not being a virgin? Oh, yeah, it’s OK because she is a “born again virgin”. I have used my share of drugs in the past, but someone would really have to be out of their mind to buy into a line of crap like that. To make matters worse, the woman I speak of manipulates an extremely kind, caring and loving man into being exactly the type of person she wants at that given point in time. She uses and abuses him to unbelievable extremes without him realizing it. His life is a living hell! Everything can be all fun and games until someone gets really hurt. Well, guess what? I got really hurt. It’s never OK to turn your back on someone that would give everything in their power to make you happy. It makes no difference the lies and manipulations they have forced you to feel and believe about me, you have to listen to your heart. We, as individuals, are the only ones in tune with what we truly need to fulfill our lives. Absolutely no one else has the ability to know what makes us tick. I pray you will stop playing their game, and listen to your heart. You know I can and will make you the happiest person on this planet, but you have to give me the opportunity. Merry Christmas, and I love you!
