   critical missing information here. what was/is the relationship? bf/gf? FWB? married?
   i could respond to two of the three. start with FWB.
   i had a FWB for awhile. best sex i ever had, i won’t lie. rather than it being a once or twice a month, it was as often as she asked me to come over. we agreed that neither of us wanted or needed a relationship, just drama free adult play time. i told her i would never call her for sex, though, because she had other FWBs that would call her just for that, never to be the friend part, and i didn’t want to do that to her. i also told her that i would never call and invite myself over because i was raised that was wrong, you just don’t invite yourself over to someone elses house. i also told her i’m not the type of friend that is going to call just to say hi or whats up, if i have nothing new to talk to you about, i don’t call, it’s just not me. i think she took my not calling for sex or to go over and hang out or say hi as disinterest because she eventually stopped calling me.
   me forgetting her birthday probably didn’t help either.

   now the married:
   i had a wife for awhile (way before having the FWB). sex was good when we first met. but after about 3 years of marriage and only managing to get the once a month “pity sex” (her words), it just became easier to jerk off rather than deal with all her bull shit for only getting laid once a month. it’s not for lack of trying on my part either, i tried to get some at least three times a week. after a while of getting shot down so many times, it just became easier to jerk off rather than deal with the rejection.
