You are right. It is not the end of the world. But it is the point at which one who knows the language perceives the other as being ignorant. This isn’t good the one who misspells, and – more broadly – this isn’t good for a democratic society. We ought to welcome discourse and respect each others opinions, not discount people for their lack of intelligence. Spelling is essential to that. In this sense, it is not an extension of Nazism, but a tool to obliterate it.
Consequently, grammar and spelling are not the same thing.
