Those animal cruelty commercials
Ok I’m sitting on my couch minding my own buisness when some famous emo song comes on, images of animal cruelty assault me, and I am exhorted to contribute to your “animal cruelty charity” Give me a frigging break. If giving you guys money was going to help it already would have. I don’t want to be emotionally raped by these animals you exploit so that you can buy more vehicles and television time for your “charity” That ad I got emotionally abused by could have paid for tons of neutering and dog food. I am officially going to boycott you as a charity and start giving my money to abused PEOPLE instead. If we put abused children pictures on the TV all hell would break loose.

Would you have really thought about the animals if that commercial hadn’t of brought it to your attention? At all? Ever? Would it have crossed your mind in regular life? Those commercials have a reason. They’re to bring attention to the abuse that animals suffer and continue to suffer this very minute. Yes, its true that commercials cost money. But the number of people who see those commercials and donate make up for it. Some people even specifically donate services and money for the making of advertising.
AND there are commercials of abused people on the TV all the time. Domestic violence? Yeah. Starving children? Yeah. Keep the Music Alive program, though more cultural abuse? Yeah. Don’t be ignorant.

Those commercials are there so they can be ACKNOWLEDGED. Just why any other charity donation has commercials. Stupid pricks like you wouldn’t even think twice about other things going on in the world because you’re so caught up in your own life and circle of friends.

I agree with you, I just try to do my part by adopting shelter animals, and encouraging people to do the same, and love the poor things. Don’t pay attention to the temper tantrum being thrown because they’re can’t see where you’re coming from.

Lol I have 4 pets I think about animals all the time. Adopted all of them except for the snake.
I don’t have a problem with commercials being about animals, but these are obscene and exploit said animals at the cost of money given to help the animals.
Ty said it. I am a compassionate person and to see those animals re-victimized for gain, to think of some sick bastard enjoying watching it, that’s just sick. Any person who supports these things is just twisted.
